I am so sorry and so deeply saddened for this unimaginable loss. Kat was such a gift to our world. She was such a good friend in Chicago through our college years. Kat made my time in Chicago and at DePaul truly wonder-filled!! She was such a beautiful bright light on this earth. I am so heartbroken this happened. Her particular way of being in the world curious and sweet and immensely creative being was a gift to the planet. The world is truly better because she lived! I so wish to have had more time with her and will grieve she and Oliver were taken far too soon. Love now in the hard times and always. Love Mika Chance

Kat was an amazing teacher and valued colleague. I am so very sorry for the tremendous loss of her and wonderful Oliver. Thinking of all who loved them
