I met Joel in Hebrew School when we were both 12 years old. Our birthdays being 3 days apart, our Bar Mitzvah ceremony was shared by our congregation. Joel tirelessly contributed to social networking where he amassed scores of followers. A real good guy, a straight shooter , he was loved by all.

I will always love Joel and am greatly affected by my loss. He will live on in my heart and soul. I want to thank my family and friends who gave me kind wishes, a hug. thoughtful gifts, visits in the hospital and help with planning the service and luncheon. Rabbi Steinberg, Forbes Cemetery and Affordable Cremation and Burial were all instrumental in achieving Joel's wishes of a 24 hour burial , simple pine box, and a spot together for eternity when the time comes. To honor him ,if you are ever in New York City have some 99 cent pizza, hold the hand of the one you love , kiss them goodnight and always say you love them because you never know if it might be the last time. Play a few songs while you are doing it and we know he will be smiling. Thanks so much, Cheryl

I knew Joel as a FB friend. His Vintage Oldies show was a Thursday night staple. It won't be the same without him. He was a good friend and I will miss him.

Well.....you finally are healed. We had a lot of ups and downs - but I am thinking fondly of the ups now. I'm so glad we re-connected as good friends. Thank God you found your forever love in Cheryl. Rest easy, Joel. Love, Sandy
