Faye was a dear friend for 5 decades. We first met when I took a job at Gustafson Equipment where I met Art Swede, who was working as head mechanic. Brenda Pekkala (RIP) was also working in the office, Brenda and I quickly became besties. We all hung out together off work. So it began the Swede, Pekkala families, and me. Faye loved to be the matchmaker. Faye & Brenda fell into matchmaker mode together. You see, Art had met this guy up at the lake Al Koivisto. Just sayin' Thursday was our 43rd wedding anniversary. For years, we were inseparable, raising kids, hunting, fishing, and spending time at the lake and our homes. Faye babysat for Alex when I went back to work after his birth. I never worried when I left him in the morning with Faye. God bless you, Faye Swede, and keep you in His arms. BTW Faye watched Alex for some months when I went back to work. He was a tiker. When Easter came around, Faye took him to K Mart and let him pick out an Easter basket. The basket was three times his size. I can still hear her laughing.

Dear Art, Care and David… I am so incredibly sad about Faye. I’ll never forget how she saved me from failing sewing class! Her kind and gentle way will live on through you. May the lord show you strength within each other at this very difficult time. ? ? Love, Tiff

Art and family, so sorry for your loss. She will be greatly missed by many she was our cupid, almost 54 years ago her and Art brought us together for a blind date dinner at their home in Morgan Park and it turned into a life long marriage for us. We didn't see each other in the later years but we would think of her everyday as we drove past her home to get to ours. We were always grateful for their friendship. May she rest in peace with no more pain and suffering and goes to be with her mother, father and beloved son.
