My thoughts go out to Bill\'s family and friends... I always enjoyed his postings on Facebook and was always impressed with his many talents. I remember how smart he was in school and I thought of him many times... whenever I would see a Jeep it would make me smile and think of him. I\'m happy I got to see him at our last reunion and will always remember him as a sweet kind person. You will be missed by many!

Dear Family and Friends of Bill, Bill and I were friends and colleagues at UMD’s Physics Department, and he helped me apply for part-time teaching at LSC….thank you, Bill, for all your kind help! He was an excellent teacher of physics and loved by his students. He somehow taught the often-difficult topics of physics to students in a genuine heartfelt, easy-to-follow way that few instructors could do…using few words and a few scratches onto the blackboard or onto a blank sheet of paper. He conveyed to students…in his down-to-earth, friendly, and approachable manner…total confidence in themselves that they too could soon learn how to solve complex physics problems. Bill shared with me his passion for off-grid home construction, for his friends the forest critters, and for “water witching.” He was convinced and convinced me deer followed forest paths located on top of “underground water steams”…something I will now remember whenever I am out walking in the woods. Peace my friend!

I remember bill as being a talented artist with a great sense of humor. He touched my family through both his talents as an artist and later on as a teacher. He will be missed and remember. My memories will be of what fun and talent he brought to performances. It was my great pleasure to share the stage with him in a band whose name I have forgotten. Later on he was my daughters teacher at lsc and her sharing with me the conversions they had about Physics and stories about band performances. I want the family to know that Bill made a difference in my family in a very positive way and the thought that a person of his caliber will know long walk this earth saddens me greatly. My sincere condolences.

Dear family, My deepest condolences to all of you. While I never got to meet Bill in person, I did tall to him via Facebook. The coolest part of Bill is that I met him after my Dad (Ronald William Wolz) passed away in 2014. He was just like his Uncle Ron. Love of nature and the outdoor living. He looked a lot like him and had replica hands from his pics feeding his deer and squirrels. To my cousins: Ed, John, Steve, Susan and Irene huge hugs and peace for all of you. I hope to meet all of you one day. May God and his angels give you the peace and comfort you need. Hugs and blessings. Roslyn Wolz Castro and Alex and Sophia Castro. And Doris Wolz
