Zachary Thomas Bubacz, 39, passed away from natural causes (congenital heart condition). Formerly of Grand Rapids, MN, Zach is survived by his mother, Susan Jordahl-Bubacz (Jack Bristol), his beloved fiancé Dessaray Phernetton, grandmother, Betty Pelkey, uncle Wayne (Lydia) Jordahl, aunt Wendy (Darryl) Michelizzi, step-sisters Lindsey and Brittany, several great aunts, uncles, cousins and his faithful pup Chubbies. Zach was preceded in death by this father Tom Bubacz, Aunt Sandy Jordahl, grandparents, Maxine and Ole Jordahl, and Lloyd Bubacz.
Zach worked in management and the food industry for 20+ years.
He loved his family and his pup, Chubs. Zach was a gentle giant, and to know him was to love him. He befriended so many people of all walks of life. He truly cared about working with and advocating for, and feeding the homeless. He believed (and practiced) that it was important to give a hand up, not just a hand out. He literally gave the shoes off his feet and the coat off his back more than once to someone who he felt needed them much more than he did. Also an animal lover, he rescued many a stray critter during his short time on earth.
Zach was an avid sports fan who participated in a variety of sports and boy scouts during his school days. He loved nature, camping, good friends and laughter around the campfire, fishing, gardening, agate picking, music and concerts. Zach was also an absolutely incredible cook who loved feeding and breaking bread with others.
