Wayne Allen Workman, 62, of Duluth, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, July 2, 2023, with his loving wife and family by his side.
He was born in Minnesota on October 6, 1960, to Bucky and Ruth Workman.
He was a lifelong laborer with Laborer’s Local 1091 and was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. After retirement, he enjoyed working at Sammy’s pizza.
Wayne enjoyed watching black-and-white Western films, maintaining his yard, gardening, tending to his flowers, home improvement, and woodworking.
He is preceded in death by his father, “Bucky” Garland Ray Workman. Wayne is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Susan Workman; son Kelsey; stepsons Ev and Thor; mother, Ruth; brothers, Curt and Gary; sisters, Ginger, Brenda, and Debbie; grandchildren, Zatanna and Mason; many other relatives and friends.
In this time of mourning, Wayne’s family would like to express gratitude to all who have offered support and condolences. Their appreciation extends to the compassionate care he received from Essentia Health St. Mary’s Hospice Team, friends, and other medical professionals.
