In Remembrance

On June 12th, 2023, Timothy J Plante, age 30, passed away unexpectedly in Duluth, Mn.  Tim suffered from SUD and had been in recovery for several years. He was born in Little Falls, Minnesota to Cheryl and Thomas Plante. He grew up on the Iron Range of Northern Minnesota and lived in Britt and Virginia.

Tim was a sweet and funny guy who loved his family and friends. He was madly in love with his girlfriend Crystal Helget and they were planning to get married. They recently bought a house and started building a life together with their young daughter Maisy. Tim was delighted to be a part of Crystals family and he truly loved them. He was a wonderful father and was so proud of his sweet little girl.

Tim graduated from Virginia high school and attended Mesabi Range College in Eveleth. One of his great accomplishments was achieving the rank of Eagle Scout in 2010. Tim was an accomplished cook and worked at several restaurants over the years.  He worked at a recycling company and most recently he was working for a tree care company. Tim always dreamed of buying a food truck and going into business for himself.

Tim loved the outdoors and enjoyed swimming, fishing, hunting, campfires, collecting rocks and drift wood. He was a huge sports fan and was always wearing one of his many sports caps. Tim loved his Mom and visited her often and he was always there to help her out at home.

He is preceded in death by his father Thomas Plante Jr.; Paternal and Maternal grand parents: Thomas Plante Sr., Virginia (Lee) Plante, Edward Parker, Pam Parker and Phyllis Parker; Uncles: Jay Plante and Gary Parker. He is survived by his Mother, Cheryl Plante; and the love of his life and best friend, Crystal Helget; his beautiful daughter, Maisy Plante; Brothers Jerod & Nicholas Plante; Uncle Grant (Tasha Kingston) Parker; Nephew Kian Parker; Many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and his family dog, Josie.

We are heartbroken by the loss of Tim and he will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He will live on forever in our hearts.

A memorial gathering to remember Tim will be held on Saturday July 8th from at Skyline Social & Games located on Miller Trunk Highway in Hermantown MN.  Visitation from 11:00 – 12:00, Memorial at 12:00 with a light lunch to follow.
