Timothy G. Riley entered into heaven peacefully on Friday, February 16th, 2024 with his dear wife of 41 years, Joy, and numerous other family at his bedside. He is survived by his wife Joyce Riley of Duluth; his mother, Clara Riley of St. Cloud; his siblings, Bonnie Stoeve of Mission Viejo, CA, Rick (Kathy) of New Hope, Cheryl Schaefer of St. Cloud, Callee (Alan) Riley-Francis of Great Falls, MT; his children, David (Lacey) Riley of McKinney, TX, Seth (Tiffany) Riley of Duluth, and Elesha Riley of Duluth; his grandchildren Jasmine, Alexis, Carter, and Avery, all of Duluth; his god-child Kelley Riley of Crystal; as well as numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father Darrell Riley.
Timothy’s nature served him well in many roles, both personal and professional throughout his life. Personally; first as a son, a protective older brother (even with an older sister), a friend, a husband, a father, and a grandfather. All of these roles he took very seriously, trying to do his very best. He touched all of those who came in contact with him in his personal relations. Professionally; beginning in retail sales, working as a jeweler, attending college, as well as doing careers in IT and healthcare. More recent years Tim spent working as an artist; being an author of two books, a painter, and a potter.
Timothy fought a courageous and prayer filled nine month battle with MDS/MPN.
Thank you to Solvay Hospice for making Tim’s last few weeks what they were, a precious bit more time with his family
