Stanley Walfred Simonson
December 5, 1941 - September 2, 2021
Visitation will be Monday September 6th, 2021, at Old Apostolic Lutheran Church located at 5755 Ryan Road in Duluth, MN at 5:00PM with the Funeral Service at 6:00PM and the Burial Service immediately following.
Stanley Walfred Simonson, son of the late Walfred A and Edith Simonson, born in Minneapolis, MN on December 5th, 1941, and currently residing in Two Harbors, MN, died Thursday September 2nd, 2021, in his home surrounded by his family.
In addition to his parents Walfred and Edith Simonson, Stanley was preceded in death by his daughter Wendy Rhoades on May 14th, 2017.
Stanley is survived by his wife of 58 years, Arlene, who lovingly cared for him in his later years, son-in-law Jake Rhoades of Columbia Falls, MT, daughter Traci Homola (Duane) of Battle Ground, WA, daughter Kelly Potti (John) of Two Harbors, MN, daughter Kimberly Sundberg (Ray) of Duluth, MN, daughter Tara Granger (Shane) of Duluth, MN, and son Ronn Simonson (Carina) of Winlock, WA; 53 grandchildren and 83 great grandchildren.
Stanley worked his entire life as a Land Surveyor and was an avid woodworker. Stanley was a lifelong member of the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church and a dear father and grandfather. Stanley held his Christianity most precious and will be missed by a host of Christian friends and family.
