In Remembrance

Sherry Lee Swanson (Lehr) passed away on May 19, 2021 at Essentia-Miller Dwan in Duluth.  She was born in Superior, WI on March 21, 1947 to Guy Lehr and Dolores Mae Lehr (Armitage). Sherry spent most of her childhood and early adult years in Arvada, CO, but then returned to Superior and attended UW-Superior.  She spent the last several years living in Superior.

Sherry was a loving mother and homemaker and worked outside of the home for many years as a sales associate, greenhouse technician and bartender.  She was an avid reader and loved to play word games and puzzles.  She will be remembered for her generous heart, engaging personality, witty sense of humor and contagious laugh.  She enjoyed music, dancing, playing pool and fishing.

Sherry was preceded in death by her parents, Guy and Dolores (Armitage) Lehr, step-mother Helen Lehr; brother Jim Lehr and sisters Margaret Risner and Sandra Strohman.  She is survived by her three beautiful children, Wayne (Deb) Gilroy, Michelle (Jim) Swanson and Robbie (Erica) Swanson; sisters Mary Cox, Sharon (John) Rose, Linda (Gary) Heikkinen, Jessie Lehr, Barbara Lehr and Jody Lehr; brothers Wayne (Terri) Lehr, Shawn (Debbie) Lehr and Gail Lehr; grandchildren Marcus Johnson, Donald (Kelly) Johnson, Tyler Schlais, Braedyn Spratford, Shyanne Spratford and Karidian Olivares; great-grandchildren Jerrick Schlais, Mason Johnson and Evelyn Johnson, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
