In Remembrance

I'm so sorry to learn of your dad's passing. Even though it's been several years, I literally was thinking of him just the other day. My daughter Laura and I lived next door to your family in the late 80's to early 90's. Lauralyn, you and your sister babysat Laura . Your dad was so kind to us. I remember that he would come over and knock quietly on the screen door to see if baby Laura was sleeping because he was going to mow the lawn and didn't want to make noise if she was. Then there was the time when he stopped by one evening and asked if Laura and I wanted to come with him to the Lake Avenue restaurant for dinner.....and we did. Your dad was always snow blowing us out before I got to it. He always said to stop by if we needed anything. I've been sharing these neighborly stories for years! Bob was a wonderful neighbor — he warmly welcomed us to the neighborhood and always stopped to say hello when crossing paths. We appreciated knowing him and will miss his many kindnesses.
