Penny of Hermantown, MN died suddenly in a vehicle accident on July 3, 2023.
Penny was born on 11/05/1976 to Linda and Dan Mattson. Penny grew up in the Duluth/Superior area where she touched the lives of many and became known as the neighborhood mom. She was proud of her career in Mental Health and Residential Services, but her favorite position was being a mom, that is what she lived for. Penny was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents, her prior husband Dave Wicklund, father Dan Mattson and her uncles Wayne, Pat and Mike. She is survived by her fiancé Jeremy Wicklund, parents Linda and Tom Connell, brother Bill, children Jon, Kayla and Ashley Polaski and her 2 beautiful granddaughters.
A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday July 13th from 10am-1pm at the Belgian Club in Superior WI located at 3931 E 2nd St.
