In Remembrance

Ordell Haedrich at age 82, passed away very peacefully with his wife by his side, January 14, 2024 at Heritage Haven, in Duluth.  He was born January 27, 1941 to Florence and George Haedrich, of Duluth, Minn. He graduated from Proctor High in 1960, where he had been captain of the football team and held many track records.  Del worked at Superwood and then for 37 years at Coca Cola of Duluth.  Del’s wife, family and friends were the most important thing in his life.

Del is preceded in death by his son Scott Haedrich, his parents and sister, Joyce Place.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years of marriage, Darlene (Eld), sons Brian (Kris), Hermantown, Todd (Belinda), Saginaw, and Shelly Haedrich, Cloquet;  Nine grandchildren; Tyler (finance Rachel), Tanner, Jake, Derek, Mariah, Alyssa (fiance Ricky Worley), Jessica (fiance Evan Checkalski), Nick (Ashley), and Augie Stauber, and six great grandchildren; Ryan, Rosalind, Bristol, Ava, Oaklynn and Joey.

Del has six brothers and sisters; Billy Haedrich, Duluth, Georgia (Terry) Schoenrock. Appleton,Wisc., Linda(Ron) Bushey, Hermantown, Sandy (Jim) Baker, Duluth, Randy (Angie) Haedrich, Hermantown, Kathy Haedrich, Hermantown, and Greg Israelson, Saginaw.  He had many nieces and nephews and extended family.

Del loved going to the cabin, fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, camping and taking his antique cars to car shows, in his younger days he raced stock cars at Proctor, he also enjoyed watching his kids and grandchildren playing sports.

Celebration of Life and Del’s birthday will be held at Salem Lutheran Church, in the family room, 4715 Hermantown Rd, Hermantown, Mn 55811.  (Go in back door of church), January 27, 2024, between 1:00pm to 3:00 pm.
