Mary L. (Bonneville) Kutzler, of Oliver, WI, serenely passed away on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at Solvay Hospice House in Duluth, MN with her family by her side. Prior to arriving at Solvay, Mary had suffered a heart attack on June 6th that unfortunately ended up taking her spiraling down a very difficult and painful journey before her passing. Mary was a strong-willed woman who fought for her life to the very end.

Mary was born in Cloquet, MN to Isadore & Clara (Vnuk-Paske) Bonneville on February 15, 1939. She married Joseph “Joe” Kutzler, Sr. in 1962, Joe passed away in 2004 after a lengthy illness of which Mary had spent caring for him at their home. Mary and Joe raised six children together. After the children were grown, Mary was employed as the Village of Oliver Clerk for 31 years. In her spare time, Mary loved baking, nurturing her perennial gardens and enjoyed having coffee & gossip time with her many friends. Mary’s greatest joy was her grandchildren.

Mary is preceded in death by her husband and parents. She is survived by her children, Tammy (Wallace) LeDoux, Timothy (Janine) Kutzler, Julie (Gary) Abraham, Joseph (Marian) Kutzler, Jr. , Ann Kutzler and Cindy Taylor; grandchildren, Alayna (Jon), Dustin, Jessica (Mykke), Jolene (Jesse), Jenessa, Joshua (Haley), Ryan, Rebecca (Brian), Nicholas; great-granddaughters, Gia and Kenna; brothers Tom (Julia) and Ron Bonneville; her honorary sisters (sisters-in-law) Jennie; Bobbi and Janet; many beloved nieces and nephews; and best friends Mary Lee, Evalyn and Lucia.

The family gives many heart felt thanks to her numerous physicians and nursing staff at Essentia Health, Middle River Health and Rehabilitation and the Solvay Hospice House for the wonderful care that was given to their mother during her stays with them. Most importantly, they give their sincere gratitude to Dr. Kirstin LeSage for keeping Mary comfortable during her last weeks. At Mary’s request, there will be no funeral service. A private celebration of life will take place at a later date.
