Tippy was a devoted wife and homemaker, she loved to bake and every December she spent weeks baking dozens of Christmas cookies for holiday gatherings. When her children were grown, she accepted a position in the food service department at UMD where she worked 10 years before retiring at age 62.

She was an avid reader, loved all the musical arts and was an accomplished piano player and singer.

She belonged to the Duluth Chapter of Sweet Adeline’s and formed numerous lifelong friendships from her Sweet Adeline family. She had a talent for knitting and gifted family and friends with her homemade items, including mittens, hats, sweaters and afghans.

Most of all, Tippy enjoyed time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her face lit up when she had a little one sitting on her lap. She was deeply loved by family and friends and will truly be missed by all.

Arrangements are being provided at Affordable Cremation and Burial. A celebration of Tippy’s life will be announced in the future.
