Memorial service will be held 1:00 pm Tuesday, July 10th, 2018 at St. Ann’s Residence in the Chapel.
Marie Head, 95, of Duluth, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, passed away on June 30, 2018.
Marie (Larsen) Head was born in Norway December 12, 1922 to Oscar and Martha Larsen. Marie was the eldest of two children. When she was 12 years old, her family immigrated to Bissett, Manitoba Canada. Marie married George Head on July 12, 1943 and they moved to the US in 1951 and spent time in Missouri and Mahnomen before settling in Duluth where they resided over 50 years. Marie worked at the Human Development Centerin Duluth for many years until her retirement in 1992. She spent her golden years gardening, traveling and helping with her grandchildren.
Marie was preceded in death by her brother Erling and husband George in 2012.
She is survived by; son Clayton (Joy) Head, daughters Susan Lewis (David Akins), Cathy (Grant) Schwartz; grandchildren Valerie Montgomery, Pixie Lewis-Burda, Brendan Lewis, Sheryl Robley, Jaime Head, Mike Head, Kelly Zimmerman, Jason Schwartz, Bryan Schwartz, Laura Johnson, Sarah Schwartz; 24 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.\
