Lorne Elgin Gould passed away peacefully of Parkinson’s Disease on August 19, 2023, at Solvay Hospice in Duluth, MN. He was born September 27, 1946 to Harold and Marion Gould in Duluth, MN.
Lorne was blessed to share his life with Bonnie Randall Boller. Lorne had 2 children: Nathan Gould and Nikol Gould. Both were raised in Northern California. He had 4 grandchildren. Granddaughters: Mikayla and Jadah. Grandsons: Elijah, Julius and Andrew. All of which live in Northern California.
Lorne grew up in Duluth, MN, was the oldest of 4 boys, and graduated from Central High School. Following graduation and during the Vietnam war, he joined the U.S. Coast Guard. He made a 20-year career in the Coast Guard. Following the Coast Guard, he became a Marine Surveyor (owning his own business). He was a past President of the National Association of Marine Surveyors and member of the U.S. Coast Guard Officer Association. He was a past President of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Alameda, CA. He lived the majority of his adult life in Fairfield and Alameda, CA.
Lorne is survived by Bonnie, his children, grandchildren, 3 brothers and their families: Dennis (Linda) Gould, Rick Gould, and Tim (Melissa) Gould.
