There will a celebration of life luncheon on Wed June 30th at the Proctor Moose from 12-2. Family will have a private graveside service at a later time.
Lori K Ellestad, 71 of Duluth was suddenly called home on Thursday June 24th.
Daughter to Everett and Eila Nelson, she was born and raised in Two Harbors, MN.
After graduation Lori went and got a Medical Secretary degree. She worked for a wonderful doctor whose entire family treated her like one of their own. She loved every aspect of her job and still talked about it often.
In 1972 she married her soulmate John Duane Ellestad Jr., and they went on to have 3 children and 4 grandchildren.
Lori loved her family more then anything and anyone who came across her path was an instant friend. She put everyone’s needs ahead of herself and made you feel welcomed and cared for, and because of this she was loved dearly by so many in return.
There were many challenges life has thrown at her over the years and through it all she demonstrated true love, commitment and a strength many will never know.
Her absence will be felt by so many, but her memory and love will be everlasting.
Lori is preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of 47 years (2019), and her daughter Holly Kay (2018).
She will be survived by her son, John Curtis (Candy), daughter, Wendy (Mathew) Blankenship, bonus daughter, Mikkaela Scott, grandchildren, Nick (15), Zackary (14), Jacob (11), Wyatt (7) and many dear friends and family.
