In Remembrance

Lois Marilyn (Tommerdahl) Lee, died December 22, 2020. She was born May
29, 1930 in Thief River Falls, MN to Palmer and Hilda Tommerdahl.

The family moved to Duluth when she was 12 years old. She graduated from Central High School in 1948, and Lois was united in marriage to William “Bill” Lee on August 1, 1950. They enjoyed a long and loving marriage of 67 years before Bill’s passing in 2017.

Lois was a loving and caring mother who supported her children in whatever endeavors they chose to pursue. She had a skill for acquiring household items at a discount through coupons and promotions. This allowed her to give her children a large gift package every year for Christmas which they affectionately referred to as their “bag of crap.” She was frugal in spending so she could be generous in giving.

She was also an accomplished pianist who filled the family home with music over the years. She used this talent as a volunteer at Viewcrest Nursing home in Piedmont Heights by playing for the residents and church services offered there every week. She was an active member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, a Tupperware host for many years, and the “lunch lady” at Piedmont Elementary School for over 15 years. She will be dearly missed by her many friends and family members.

Lois is survived by her children; Cindy (Don) Burcar, Rick Lee, Jeff
(Charlotte) Lee, and Michael Lee; 8 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents, and husband Bill.

At Lois’s request a private family service will be held at a later time.
