In Remembrance

Lillian Armeeda (Wuorinen) Wetterling, 95, passed away peacefully by loved ones on October 25th, 2022. Lillian is proceeded in death by her parents Aaro and Fanny (Puisto) Wuorinen and her siblings, Alvin, Arne, Leo, Reino, and Sylvia. Lillian is survived by her siblings; Lora Davis, William Wuorinen and many nieces and nephews. Lillian was part of the first generation American born children of Finnish immigrants. Lillian was born (and raised) in Cloquet, Minnesota on February 13th, 1927, where she also passed away while living at Diamond Willow of Cloquet. Lillian eventually moved to California where she spent many years of her life and eventually retired from Ball Corporation. Later in life, Lillian moved to the home her father built in McGregor, Minnesota. Lillian met and married the love of her life, Herman Wetterling. She was happily married until his death in 2007. Lillian was a beautiful woman, with a witty and sarcastic sense of humor. Lillian will be missed deeply by her loved ones and friends at Diamond Willow. Thank you to the staff at Diamond Willow of Cloquet and St. Croix Hospice for providing her love, exceptional care, and kindness. At Lillian’s request, no formal services will occur. Lillian requested to be cremated and her ashes spread amongst the family farm where she was born and raised.
