Leon Graham

Visitation will be held at 10:00 am followed by a Celebration of Leon’s Life at 11:00 am, Saturday, May 11th, 2019, at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd. Memorials in his honor may be directed to the ‘Michael J. Fox Foundation’ for Parkinson’s research.

Leon M. Graham, 71, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at Solvay Hospice House in Duluth after a 24-year battle with Parkinson’s disease.

Leon grew up in Lakewood Township, and entered the US Navy at age 17, serving aboard the USS Enterprise during Vietnam. He came back and married Kathy Curtis, together they raised three girls in Lakewood Township. Leon worked a career as an owner/operator truck driver, and later retired from WLSSD in ’94.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing year-round, archery, playing cards, and spending time at the cabin on Thompson Lake. Leon was a brave, kind, and generous man who would help anyone in a time of need. He will be dearly missed.

He is preceded in death by; his parents, Robert and Bertha (Johansen) Graham.

Leon is survived by; three daughters Lisa (Joel) Braun, Anita (David) Graham-Lood, Amy (Chad) Graham; five grandchildren, Stephanie, Nickolas, Rian, Ella, Brooke; sisters Connie (Lyle) Johnson, Christina Graham; former wife Kathy Graham; extended family and many friends.
