In Remembrance

Keith Lloyd Hanson departed our world on Thursday, October 17th.  He died peacefully at home.

Keith was born in Thief River Falls, Minnesota on April 15th, 1949 to Lloyd and Lois (Lilleoien) Hanson. The family moved to Valley City, ND in 1953 before settling in Duluth, MN in 1957. Keith graduated from Central High School in 1967. After graduating, he continued his education at UMD and Lake Superior College. Keith worked in business and accounting before entering a career in teaching and coaching in the 1980’s. Keith especially enjoyed coaching softball and managing the time clock for Denfeld basketball games.

In his younger years, Keith traveled with a pool league and became an avid golfer, fisherman and bowler. He loved watching and discussing sports with friends and family, especially UMD hockey and Green Bay Packers football. 

He always enjoyed family gatherings, especially with his Lilleoien cousins.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Lois Hanson. Keith will be remembered fondly by his sister Julie (David) Bard, nieces, Sarah (Aaron), Beth (Michael), nephew David (Becca), great nieces Eleonora and Matilda, great nephew Henry, and many close friends. 

Keith’s celebration of life will be held at First United Methodist Church on Thursday, October 24th with visitation beginning at 12:00 noon, followed by the service at 1:00 p.m.
