Memorial Service will be held 11:00 am Friday August 28, 2015 at First United Methodist Church, 230 E Skyline Pkwy., Duluth. There will be a visitation one hour prior to service and a luncheon to follow, Rev. David Bard officiating, military honors by the Duluth Combined Honor Guard.

Jon F. Dallman, 77, died Sunday August 23, 2015 at Solvay Hospice House after a hard fought battle with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. He will be missed beyond words.

Jon was born December 29, 1937 to Frank and Clara (Gehring) Dallman in Bloomer, Wisconsin. He graduated from UWS with a degree in Fine Arts and taught art in three elementary schools in Wisconsin for one year. Jon was then employed by Harcourt Brace Jovanovich in 1969 as a graphic artist. He continued his employment, retiring as Graphics Director in 2000 from Advanstar Communications. In 2009 Jon joined other retired fellows driving cars to auctions and dealer trades for Northstar Ford. He also drove the customer courtesy shuttle on Fridays.

Jon had a passion for cars and motorcycles, and was a longtime HOG member, and an avid Packer fan. In his retirement he began to get back into painting and he also enjoyed transferring old home videos to DVD’s. He was a member of First United Methodist Church.

He is preceded in death by; his parents; brother Robert.

Jon leaves behind his wife of 33 years, Celeste; daughter Julie (Cory) Johnson, son Andrew (Hansi); step-daughter Molly (Matt) Dudley; grandchildren Nick Norman, Erika, Brandon and Emma Wing, Maddy, Liam and Wesley Dudley; sisters Marilyn (Roger) Somsen, Phyllis Dallman; numerous nieces and nephews.
