Dear Family of John & Irene: I just saw John's obituary in the CLB Faith & Fellowship Magazine today. My wife Judy and I just want to express our sympathy to all of you at the passing of John (as well as the earlier passing of Irene). John was instrumental in helping me respond to the call of God to the Christian ministry while completing my university studies at UW-Superior in 1966, which ultimately led to a 40 year ministry as a pastor, Navy Chaplain, hospital/hospice chaplain and denominational superintendent. He inspired me in the early years of ministry to listen to and follow the prompting of the Holy Spirit in my life and pay attention to the Lord leading me to people whose hearts were prepared for the good news of the Gospel. It became a lifelong discipline that had its genesis in the mentoring ministry of your dad in my life. Judy and I, in starting out in a life of ministry were so blessed with the life and example of your folks spirit in challenging times of ministry in their lives in the late 1960's and early 1970's in the Twin Ports. They reminded us that God never calls us to places where his grace does not go. Their encouragement to us starting out in ministry... and to many others in ministry down through the years... will be long remembered. May the God of all comfort give you His peace in this time. Rev. & Mrs. Dave Thompson Rosemount, MN

Dear Lynette and the entire Raimo family. I truly feel blessed to have known your father. Although I hadn’t know him long, it felt like a life time because of his genuine kindness and his love of Jesus. He was a GEM! Thank you for allowing Essentia Hospice to be a part of his life, he will truly be missed. God bless, Jeanne G.
