Memorial service will be held 1:00 pm, Friday, July 27, 2018 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 410 N Arlington Ave., Duluth MN. Time to greet friends one hour prior to service. Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
John ‘Jack’ L. Zabrocki, 69, passed away peacefully in the arms of those who loved him, Monday July 23, 2018 at Solvay Hospice House in Duluth, Minnesota. He was born October 18, 1948 to Leonard and Leila (Laude) Zabrocki in Hallock, Minnesota.
John graduated from Aurora – Hoyt Lakes High School in 1966. For most of John’s working life, he owned and operated Silverbrook Custom Embroidery in Carlton, Minnesota. John spent winters in the Rio Grande valley in Texas for the last ten years, and treasured the time spent with his grandaughter Freja. He enjoyed attending auctions, motorcycle rallies, camping with his converted ’59 Greyhound Tubby, vintage motorcycles and cars, tamales, fresh pineapple and shrimp. John’s bright blue eyes and smile, friendliness, soft spoken manner, and even his stubbornness will be dearly missed.
He is preceded in death by; his parents; sister LeeAnn.
John is survived by; wife Debbie; daughter Eva Zabrocki; grandaughter Freja; stepdaughter Nichole Reed, stepson Mike Reed; brothers Leonard (Delta) Zabrocki, Larry (Jackie) Zabrocki, sister Cheryl (Richard Hicks) Archer; sister-in-law Pam Zalasky; many other relatives and friends.
