A memorial service will be held on October 28th, 2023 at Braham Evangelical Covenant Church at 11 a.m.
Jerome Philip Johnson “Jerry”, 72, passed away on October 22nd, 2023 in Duluth, Minnesota. He was born on April, 17th 1951 in Minneapolis to Philip and Louis Johnson. Jerry was a beloved brother, uncle, husband, dad, and his favorite title grandpa. His family and friends will deeply miss him.
Jerry graduated from Edison High School in 1969 and went on to a career as a stay-at-home dad. He was known for his love of fishing, God, and all things sugary sweet. He was a goofy and eccentric person who touched the lives of many. Jerry is best remembered for sharing his passion for the word of God through music.
Jerry is survived by wife, Beth (Lisbeth), daughters Lisa (Jeremy), Christine (Nathan), and Donna, and grandchildren Sullivan, Edith, and Autumn, as well as sisters Barb (Teresa) and Anita (Mike) and several nieces and nephews. He will be remembered for his humor, constant tinkering with gadgets, and spending time with the grandkids. The family would like to thank St. Mary’s Hospital, Braham Evangelical Covenant Church, extended family, and friends for their support during this difficult time.
A memorial service will be held on October 28th, 2023 at Braham Evangelical Covenant Church at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Fishing for Life at fishingforlife.org. Jerry will be forever missed and always remembered by those who knew him.
