Jayce Jerrod Constant was born on November 11, 1994 and left this world bound for Heaven on February 25, 2022. Jayce was an artistic soul who loved being creative with his computer, making music (or “beats” as he would call them) or playing games with his friends. Jayce loved all things music – going to shows, breaking his glasses in a good mosh pit, playing the guitar and posting videos of his songs. When he wanted quiet time, Jayce loved walking through the woods and spending time outside. His dream was to build a little shack on his parents’ property and “live in the woods away from everything.” He loved to skateboard and enjoyed tinkering on his revolving fleet of what he would tell you were “crappy” vehicles, as we’ve all had a turn at picking him up from the side of the road. Jayce loved spending time with his friends and family – his people made his world go round. Jayce was a very gifted artist who loved to draw and paint, screen print, and doodle with just about any medium. Jayce also loved experimenting in the kitchen, he loved making soup, spaghetti and could mix up a mean marinade with the weirdest ingredients that could win the family cook-offs. He loved his pets and his cactuses and took pride in nurturing both. Jayce was goofy, fun loving and funny. He had a huge heart and he cared so much, maybe too much, that his big heart just could not take this earthly world.

Jayce was very close with his Grandma Phyllis and Grandpa Denny, and Uncles Joe and Trav. Jayce was the oldest cousin on both sides of his family. He adored his cousins Jordan, Isaac, Jeremiah, Adalynn, Derek, Tyler, Matthew, Alec and Alayna. He was thrilled when his cousin Jordan was born and he was no longer the only grandchild on the Constant side of the family. He loved and cherished when Isaac and Adalynn came along and getting to see them as newborn babies, growing and playing with them along the way. Jayce enjoyed spending time with cousins Derek and Tyler and they had a special bond.

Jayce was preceded in death by his great-grandparents Willard and Juanita Constant, Edmund and Eleanor Palo, Great Uncle William Constant and Great Uncle Michael Krocka. Jayce leaves behind his heartbroken family – parents David and Heather Peterson, grandparents Dennis and Phyllis Constant, Peggy and Gus Peterson, Uncles Joe and Travis Constant, Auntie Amy Constant, Uncle Tom Peterson, cousins Jeremiah, Adalynn, Jordan, Isaac, Derek, Tyler, Matthew, Alec and Alayna. Jayce also leaves behind his girlfriend, Katherine Agresta, special friends Collin and Aeden Sabbatini, Tyler Livangood, Josh Jodell, Lucian Allan, Matt Erickson, Dylan Sigfrids, Dylan Rowe, Vinnie Davis, Cory Kozak, Ryan Kurkinen, Cayden Dudek, Sam Perkins, Chase Gimpel and far too many more to name. Jayce also leaves behind his furry siblings Lemmy and Nico, and his pet chinchilla, Pete.

Jayce struggled with the addiction crisis that has devastated so many families in our world today. We know he fought as hard as he knew how to do. Jayce never wanted to let anyone down and he did his best to hide his pain from the world. We pray to find comfort in the fact that although he is devastatingly missed, he is free from his torment and pain and now at peace in the arms of Jesus.

Jayce’s family and friends have held a private service in his honor. In lieu of memorials, please consider making a donation in Jayce’s memory to Lifehouse of Duluth.
