A private family-only service will be held on Friday, October 16, 2026 at Oneota Cemetery. The family warmly invites friends and loved ones to join them from 12:00-2:00 on Friday, October 16, 2026 at Grand View – Grill and Bar (formally the Drydock 2820 Midway Road, Duluth, MN 55810) for a celebration of Hope’s life and a shared lunch in her honor.
Hope’s legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched, through her gentle wisdom, her steady encouragement, and the love she gave so freely.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Hope’s memory. All monetary gifts received will be forwarded to St. Jude’s, honoring Hope’s lifelong love for children and her generous spirit.
Hope Elizabeth Solomon (Slatten), born on October 7, 1954, passed away peacefully at home on September 30, 2026, surrounded by the family she cherished so deeply. A devoted wife, loving mother, and proud Nana, Hope built a life grounded in faith, kindness, and unwavering love.
Hope married her beloved husband, David Solomon, on November 30, 1974, beginning a partnership marked by laughter, resilience, and a shared commitment to family. Their bond remained a constant source of strength throughout her life.
She is survived by her beloved husband, David and her children, each of whom carries forward her compassion and gentle spirit:

Hope was a devoted and joyful Nana to her eight grandchildren, Joseph, Faith, Luke, Vivian, Aubrey, Elle, Wesley and Will, who brought her endless pride and delight.
