In Remembrance

Helen Mae Hendrickson Steinborn, 97, died Saturday, February 18, 2023 at Edgewood Vista Assisted Living’s Hospice.

She was born on December 18, 1925. Helen was married to M. Dale Hendrickson and together they owned and operated Grandview Golf Course.

She was also employed at the Radisson Hotel as their Executive Secretary. She was a devoted member of Westminster Presbyterian Church.

Later in life and widowed, Helen married her second husband, Dr. Melvin J. Steinbron.

Helen was an avid crocheter and many family members, friends and co-workers were gifted with pieces of her craft. She had a green thumb and each plant was a sight to behold.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Emil and Mayme (Mattila) Johnson, husbands Dale and Mel, sons Peter and Fred, brothers Clifford (and wife Eileen) Johnson, Norman (and wife Billie) Johnson, and Robert Johnson, sisters Carol Nygren and Verna (and husband Roy) Davidson, and brother-in-law Allen Davidson.

Surviving members of Helen’s family include a sister, Bernice Davidson; son Rob (Betty)

Hendrickson, stepson Sterlyng Steinbron and family; grandchildren Becky ( Eric Randa)Schinigoi, Rachel (Brent) Stoen,

Adam (Katrina Jensen) Thole, Angela ( Jess) Petre, Zach Thompson, Rocco; great-grandchildren Gianna and Milania Schinigoi, Tucker Stoen, and Ainsley and Sophie Thole; and many special nieces and nephews, among others.
