Helen Pappas Kensel now rests with her husband Gene in a place of unconditional love. Helen was born in Duluth on September 21, 1928 to William G. Pappas and Doris Pennell.
Helen was a woman of many words and stories. She was a wife and working mother of three. She enjoyed camping, traveling and bingo. She had a passion for entertaining and cooking while sharing family recipes with friends and local chefs. In her many talents, Helen the Greek Goddess was a model, an Astrologer, and Palmist. She loved seeking treasures at garage sales and Bazaars. Helen helped plant and nourish the beautiful gardens at Pennell Park. Pennell Park is part of her family legacy. At the days end, Helen enjoyed the latest novel.
She is preceded in death by; her parents; daughter Charlene Kendall; brothers Walter Pappas, Gordon Pappas, sisters Muriel Salen, and JoAnn Crews.
Helen is survived by; daughters Barbara Kensel, Kathleen (Jim) Bong; son-in-law Kenny Kendall.
A private graveside service will be held.
