Visitation is Friday, April 16, at 10:00 am until the 11:00 am funeral service at the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church Woodland Park, located at 3730 Martin Rd., Duluth MN. Interment at the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church Cemetery on Ryan Rd.
Frederick “Daniel” Sundberg, 82, passed away from complications of brain cancer on Monday, April 12, 2021 at Essentia Health.
Dan was born September 3rd, 1938 in Brainerd MN. He moved with his family to Duluth in 1942 and graduated from Salter Vocational school and worked as a Union carpenter for 42 years, retiring in 1998. On November 24, 1966 he married Seija Kuronen in Minneapolis. Dan was a lifelong member of the Old Apostolic Church.
Dan was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Sophie (Rivers) Sundberg; sisters Esther (Norman) Homola, Dorothy Sundberg, Edna Sundberg and Elizabeth (Fremont) Homola; brother David (Irene) Sundberg; infant brothers Carl and Paul and an infant sister Alice.
Dan is survived by: his loving wife Seija; son Anthony (Beth); 8 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; one brother John (Eldora); and a host of beloved Christian brothers and sisters in faith.
