Edward Zeug, 78, of Nickerson, MN formerly of Burnsville & West St. Paul, passed away peacefully with family by his side on July 11, 2021, at Solvay Hospice House in Duluth.

Preceded in death by his parents Frank and Martha Zeug and his sister Annette Roberts.

Survived by his wife Lori; Sisters Audrey (John) Panian, Liz (Tim) Nowak; Children Larry (Chrissy) Zeug, Dean (Amy) Zeug, Leah (John) Moreland, Frank Zeug (Mary), Vanessa (Joe) Dalbec and Leslie Hennen (Nick); 9 grandchildren & many nieces and nephews.

Ed enjoyed the outdoors of the Northwoods, where he and Lori built a residence after he retired from Certainteed in Shakopee, MN. Ed worked as a Boiler Operator for 23 years. Previously he worked at Coca Cola in Eagan. He enjoyed watching the MN Wild Hockey games on TV, watching and going to Nascar Races, hunting, working outdoors on his property, and being able to help family and friends whenever needed. He was an avid hunter up until the last several years when he found more comfort in simply watching and enjoying the wildlife that surrounded his residence.

His family would like to send a very special thank you to all the staff at Essentia Health Hospice & Solvay Hospice House. Each staff member and volunteer went above and beyond with providing the very best care for Ed and as well as emotional support to his family. Ed really enjoyed his short stay at Solvay. He had a beautiful view from his room looking into the woods at all the wildlife which made him feel like he was at home.
The family will host a private Celebration of Life. Memorials to Solvay Hospice House are preferred in lieu of flowers. Please send to Miller-Dwan Foundation, 502 East Second Street, Duluth, MN 55805. To make a gift by phone, please call 218-786-5829.
