Dell Carlson

In keeping with Dell’s wishes, there will not be a memorial service.
Dell Clayton Carlson, 64, of Duluth, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2016 in St. Mary’s Medical Center with his wife and daughter by his side.
Dell was born on Nov. 9, 1952 to Leonard and Jean (Johnson) Carlson. He served in the United States Navy in 1972-1974.
He married his wife Gean (Vargo) on Sept. 9, 1999. He was a lifelong resident of Duluth and loved the little things in life: being around people, the outdoors, good food, music, having fun. Dell was happiest when cooking and hosting a group of
people.
Dell was preceded in death by his mother, Jean (Johnson) Ovind; his father, Leonard Carlson; his brother, Allen Scott Carlson; and his son, Jacob Clayton Carlson.
Survivors include his wife, Gean Carlson of Duluth; his daughter, Sara Bryki of Glen Burnie, Md.; his sister, Cheryl Carlson
of Tucson, Ariz.; his halfbrother, Leonard David Carlson of Florida; his step-father, John Ovind, of Tuscon, Ariz.; and many
extended family member and friends.
In keeping with Dell’s wishes, there will not be a memorial service. Condolences can be sent directly to family members or to Affordable Cremation Burial, 4206 Airpark Blvd, Duluth, MN 55811.
