David Arthur Danielson, 76, passed away peacefully in his sleep on the night of November 10th, 2022 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth Minnesota with his family by his side.

Born August 21st 1946, the rich life of David Danielson began in Duluth Minnesota, where he grew up and resided for his entire life. David went to East High School, later going to trade school in Duluth to become a welder. David went on to work for the Army Corps of Engineers as a crane operator and supervisor. In 1974, David married Carol (Bills) Danielson, whose faithful devotion still gleams today. David was proud of his Scandinavian heritage; he traveled to Sweden to visit his family multiple times throughout his life.

David was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend to so many—and he helped as many people as he could with his varied skills and talents over the years.

David was a wonderful man who touched the lives of all he encountered through his kindness, strength, intelligence, wit, humor, and the unique, ineffable qualities only those who knew David can understand.

David is survived by the love of his life Carol Danielson, married for 49 years, his son Michael Danielson (Pam) of Seattle, Washington, his daughter Jolene Danielson of Los Angeles California, his grandson’s, Trent and Erik Danielson, Treyton Ackerman, his sister’s-in-law, Mary (Bills) Glapa, Peggy (Bills) Pogorelec, Susan Bills, Shirley Bills, along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, as well as many close friends.

David Danielson is preceded in life by his parents Arthur and Inga Danielson, brother Dennis Danielson, sister-in-law Diane Danielson, brother’s-in-law William Bills, Robert Bills, and his previous wife Mary (Neeser) Danielson.

We would like to give a special thanks to the staff of the Benedictine Health Center and St. Luke’s hospital for their tireless care and support.
