David Jauert, 70, died peacefully Saturday December 14, 2019 at Solvay Hospice House in Duluth. He was born October 9, 1949 to Donald and Vernice Jauert in Luverne, MN.
David grew up in Luverne and graduated from UMD. After college, he worked as a carpenter and then owend and operated the Eagles Nest Resort from 1986 to 2014. David enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He was a gentleman, a kind, considerate, thoughtful man with a good sense of humor. David was dearly loved and will be sorely missed.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
David is survived by his wife Jolene; children Wes (Lynn) Jauert, Lindsay (Chris) Tritabaugh, Jason (Katie) Jauert; grandchildren Olive, Penny, Edwin, Lily, and Adam; siblings Lorna Schoneman, Lynette Jauert, Darwin (Marge) Jauert, Lowell (Diane) Jauert; step children Dave Hedin, Layton (Ashley) Cadence, Lydia; numerous nieces and nephews; extended family and friends.
Memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Friday January 10, 2020 at Anchor Point Church 5069 Fish Lake Rd. Duluth, Mn.
In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to the ACS Hope Lodge, 2500 University Ave SE, Minneapolis, Mn 55414.
