Christine F. Crandell, 69, died peacefully after a short battle with cancer Monday, February 10, 2020. She was born December 5, 1950 to Claude and Betty (Gates) Craven in Duluth, Minnesota.
Chris graduated from Denfeld High School, class of 1968, and attended UMD. She worked for Minnesota Power and later worked 28 years for the Housing and Redevelopment Authority of Duluth.
Chris enjoyed traveling with her family, reading a good book, and cooking for others. Her thoughtfulness and generous spirit were hallmarks of her good-hearted nature. Chris’s laughter and smile will be dearly missed by all that knew her.
She is preceded in death by her father Claude.
Chris is survived by her daughter, Melissa Stepinski; mother, Betty Craven; aunt and uncle, Jackie and Roger Croy; extended family and many friends.
