A celebration of life will be held at the American Legion in Park Rapids on Thursday, August 11th from 1:30 – 4:00 pm.

Inurnment will be Friday, August 12th at 9:00 am at Decoria Cemetery in Good Thunder, Minnesota where he will be laid to rest next to his wife Louise.

Charles Truebenbach

Charles Truebenbach, 79, passed peacefully on August 4th, 2022 in Duluth, Minnesota.

Charles was born in Mankato, MN on September 5th, 1942. He went to Mapleton High School before serving in the Navy from 1961 to 1963. Charles served the Pacific Fleet out of San Diego on the USS Boyd, DD-544 (1961-1963) and USS Gregory, DD-802 (1963).

He met Louise Peskett in Vancouver and they were married October 24th, 1964 in Good Thunder, MN. Charles worked as an electrician in Mapleton and Owatonna before moving to Park Rapids. He worked for Gene Holmes Electric and Davis Electric in Park Rapids before retiring in 2004.

He was a member of Otto Hendrickson American Legion Post #212 and the Park Rapids Eagles Club. He enjoyed fishing on the many lakes around Park Rapids.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Helen and Harry Truebenbach, his wife Louise, his infant son Bradley, his sister Linda Olson, and his daughter-in-law Angi (Craig).

He is survived by his sons Bruce (Jenny) and Craig (Kim); grandchildren Annika (Nick) Spriggs, Sierra, Kimberly, and Scott; brother John (Sandy) Truebenbach, sister Janice (Gene) Erickson.
