Carol J Markus
August 21, 1934 - October 27, 2026
Carol Jean Markus arrived in this world on Aug. 21, 1934 to Charles and Lula Winter in Onamia MN. The family later moved to Duluth MN where she married first husband, Tom Miller and raised a family of 6 children. In 1981 she met her late husband, Charlie Markus. They spent many loving years together and were famous for going on road trips together, often showing up on your doorstep unexpectedly. They were together until 2022 when Charlie passed. Carol was a stay-at-home mom for many years and then later worked at Cook Home and Chris Jensen in the kitchen until she retired. She is preceded in death by her parents, her siblings – Ruth (aka Elaine), Meryl, Aaron, Lyle and an infant brother. She is survived by her children Cindy (Bob) Evans, Mary Jo (Randy) Dulinski, Brad (Carrie) Miller, Julie (Brian) Dasher, Mike Miller and Tami (Peter) Fauver. She was also the proud grandma to 15 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
