From the first time we met in a 7th grade home economics class at Washington Junior High School and over the next 40 years, Barb has been my only truly best friend. "Little Red," because of her small stature and beautiful red hair (which she never liked) is the perfect nickname for Barb. I believe I first heard that name in high school. Friday nights were always the highlight of the school weeks because that meant sleepovers at Barb's house. I remember at Central High School, some of the "Country Boys" playing their shenanigans, always picking up Barb and "stuffing" her in the locker (yes, she was that small). Barb would shout out her protests but never really got angry with them. Barb was always a good sport and adventurous! Our friendship continued on after high school. We shared a couple apartments, I was with her when Forest was born and witnessed the lovely marriage ceremony between her and Tom. As the years went on we saw less and less of each other, jobs and families keeping us busy. Usually a few years would go by before we would get together but when we did get together, I always felt like we just saw each other yesterday. I will miss you so much Barb. My heartfelt sympathies to Tom and family.

It was nice to see Barb and Tom at my sale, I had not seen them for a while. My thoughts and prayers go out to them and their family.

I was glad to reconnect with Barb when she stopped by our rummage sale this summer! We had a nice visit and it was so good to see her. Our prayers go out to all of Barb's family and friends in the loss of such a great lady!
