I was blessed to meet Arlene in her later years at Pines III. She was such a strong, fun lady with a lifetime of stories to share. My sympathy to her loving family.

Arlene was a very special friend for me. We first met while recovering from surgery at Lakeshore Lutheran when her daughter Lynn came to see her, I found out she was married to Jim Berkelman who lived at 813 Woodland Ave., I took care of Jim and David when they were young I knew their mother all the time I lived on Woodland Avenue about a block away after Arlene and I left rehab. She Lynn and I would go out for each other’s birthdays and other occasions and talk to each other on the phone often I look forward to continuing a friendship with Lynn and remembering Arlene with her.
