Memorial Mass Saturday 11/19 at St. Rose Church, 3 Sixth Ave. Proctor MN, 55810. Visitation at 10:00 am, funeral to follow at 11:00 am. Rev. James Bissonette will conduct the service.
Alvera I. “Evie” Miller, age 94, lifelong resident of Proctor, MN died peacefully at her home with her family on November 9th, 2022, with special gratitude to Becky Kubat and Joanne Godfrey.
She was born on March 27th, 1928, in Gully MN to Conrad and Pearl Lind. Evie was a graduate of Proctor High School. On September 23rd, 1950, she married George W. Miller. They were married for 64 years at the time of his death and had three children.
Evie was a longtime, active member of St. Rose Catholic Church in Proctor. She volunteered at the church dinner for over 40 years. She loved to garden, fish, camp, and travel with George. She was also an excellent cook and baker, always having enough for anyone who would drop in. Evie was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Dean and Gerald, and her son Tim. Evie is survived by her daughter Sue, her son Tom, her daughter in law Linda Miller, two grandchildren, Chaudette Miller and Benjamin Miller, sister in-law Marge Lind, many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
