Thomas Aaron Campbell

U.S. Veteran

Thomas Aaron Campbell, age 79, of Barnum, Minnesota died peacefully with family by his side at Saint Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth, Minnesota on August 26, 2025.

Tom was born on October 1, 1945 to Leonard and Myrtle Campbell. He was one of ten children eight of which were boys.

Tom lived most of his life in Minnesota. He did live and work on a farm in Alaska but Minnesota was his home.

Tom had many jobs throughout his life including railroad worker, carpenter, lumberjack and farmer. He was always willing to assist family and friends with their building or fix it projects.

Tom was a United States Navy Veteran. He was very proud of the time he spent on the USS Saratoga.

Tom enjoyed hunting and was always willing to share his deer hunting stories.

He was also a fisherman by nature and spent many hours with a fishing rod in his hands.

Tom was also an avid Minnesota sports fan. He enjoyed watching the Twins and Vikings. The Vikings were his favorite, win or lose.

Tom was a Minnesota boy who grew up as part of a large family. He looked forward to family celebrations and the gathering of friends.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, 7 brothers and one sister.

He is survived by his children, grandchildren, sister, numerous nieces and nephews and many friends who have become family.

Tom was loved and he will be missed.
