Sylvia A. de Freitas, 87, of Duluth, MN, passed away peacefully August 11, 2025. After many years of living in Paradise Valley, AZ, Sylvia lived in the Duluth area for the past nine years. She was known for her love of music throughout her life and participated in a variety of instrumental musical groups in the greater Duluth area. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Gabriel F. de Freitas, and her son, Geoffrey S. de Freitas, and is survived by daughters Laurie de Freitas Weaver (Robert); Elisabeth de Freitas Bilden (Jay); granddaughter, Rebecca Bilden; grandson, Finlay Bilden, along with many cousins, nieces and nephews. There will be a private service.
