Shirley Goodin
June 24, 1939 - January 9, 2025
Shirley Ann Goodin of Cromwell, MN. passed away peacefully at the Villa Vista Care Center on January 9th, 2025. She was 85 years old. Shirley was a talented seamstress and cook. She was an avid gardener, bird watcher, and partner in crime with her dear friend, Jennie K. Hanson. She enjoyed her activities with the Cromwell Young Old Timers (YOT), and helping with events at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Wright. She will be dearly missed by many.
Shirley met Ronald Goodin at her family store in Duxbury, MN. and they were married on April 9th, 1960. They settled in Osseo, MN and raised their children before retiring to the Cromwell-Wright area. They enjoyed working on projects together, gardening, long drives and trips to Montana to see extended family. After Ronalds death in 2009, Shirley became actively involved in the community and spent much time with her friend, Jennie, at various events and participating in numerous shenanigans.
Shirley is preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Arthur Goodin, parents Kenneth and Florence Beyer, and brother Robert “Butch” Beyer.
She is survived by her four children, Carole (Keith) Laine of Cromwell, MN., Jody (Dawn) Goodin of Bryan, TX., Lee (Shelley) Goodin of Princeton, MN., and Terri (Gene) Lott of Wright, MN., 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Villa Vista Care Center and St. Croix Hospice for the love and care they provided Shirley over the past year.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
