December 17, 1949-March 7, 2026
He was born to Palmer and Vallie Carlson on December 17, 1949 in New Richmond, WI. He married Dianne P Bettendorf on January 31, 1969.
Mark was raised and worked the family dairy farm West of Finlayson. He graduated from Finlayson High School, attended Pine City Technical Institute and Cambridge Community College. Mark and Dianne moved their young family to Buffalo, Wyoming for 2 years and back to Finlayson in 1979. He worked as a mechanic, salesman for Northrup King Seed Company and Central Garden and Pet and other sales positions. LaRose Greenhouse & Nursery was established in 1993 and Mark and Dianne had 29 seasons of helping customers with their landscaping and gardening. Mark served on the Pine Lake Township Board.
Mark enjoyed traveling, food, friends, (especially playing cards) and family.
Survived by daughters Jodi Carlson Grebinoski (Joe) and Amie Hendrie (Chris) and son Chad Carlson (Lisa). Grandkids Grace and Brock Hendrie. AFS exchange Grandkids, Eileen, Samson, Mo, Laura and Gui. Sister, Debra Brigan (Al) and brother Bill Carlson (Dana). And many family and friends.
Proceeded in death by his wife Dianne, parents Vallie and Palmer Carlson, sister Paulette Lafferty and many close friends.
Mark’s family would like to thank the staff at St. Croix Hospice and Golden Horizon in Sandstone for the excellent care they provided.
