In Remembrance

Our cherished mother and grandmother, Doris Fay Hallfrisch (Dole), passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at Solvay Hospice House. She was born December 3, 1938 in Duluth, MN.

She was the heart of her home, known for her warm smile, delicious cooking, and unwavering support. She had an extraordinary ability to make everyone feel loved and cherished.

She was a wonderful mother who was always there when she was needed most, offering support, wisdom, and love in abundance. A friend to many, she was a cherished member of the community in Edgewood where she lived the last year and a half, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and strength.

She is preceded in death by her husband Richard “Dick” Hallfrisch, parents Susan Fredrickson and Clyde Dole, and half-sisters Sylvia and Ruth.

Doris is survived by her sister Lois Croston along with her five children, Joe and Angie Hallfrisch of Gauthier, MS, Kathy and Jerry (deceased) Decker of Duluth, MN, Danny Hallfrisch of Alborn, MN, David and Tina Hallfrisch of Saginaw, MN, and Dawn and Jay Mahon of Duluth, MN. Her Grandchildren Danielle and Danny Peterson, Kris and Nikki Hallfrisch, Nicole and Adam Clemons, Trisha Decker, Ben and Ann Hallfrisch, Samantha Hallfrisch and Neil Baumgarner, Matthew Decker, Brandon Soderlund, Jaydon Soderlund: Her many great-grandchildren, extended family and friends.

A Celebration of life will be held 11 am, Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at Pike Lake Golf & Beach event center. There will be a visitation 30 Minutes prior to the service.
