Donnena M Ankeny
November 25, 1967 - November 4, 2025
Donnena Mae Ankeny or Nena as so many knew her by, passed away on November 4th 2025 at the young age of 57. Surrounded by family at Essentia hospital in Duluth MN after two long hard years of complications from her mitral valve replacement.
Nena was born November 25th 1967 to Janice and Don Ankeny. With many found memories of her childhood and life long friendships from her younger years.
Nena got her certified nursing assistant certificate at the age of 18 and she gave her whole life taking care of others of all ages.
Nena was passionate about family and making others laugh. She loved off the wall music like Weird Al, Julie Brown and Napoleon XIV. She love of cartoons and humor are just a couple of things that shes know for best.
Later in lifer she built a large family. She is survived by her “pain in the neck” little brother Don (Sue) Ankeny. Her daughter Amy (Megan) Ford, son Ryan Sappington. Grandchildren “butt butt” James (Willow) Pfuhl, “popo” Ethen Mackly, “monkey” Lilianne Rockhill, “buggy” Jeslyn Rockhill. Nieces Skylar and Macie and Nephew Zander. She loved many other nephews and nieces from her ex husbands family. Her best friend for life Tami Bain.
She is proceeded in death by bother her parents and daughter (by love) Kylie and many special cousins.
