In Remembrance

Diane LuVerne “Anderson” Olson, age 85, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 23 at Edgewood Vista in Hermantown.

Diane was born on January 3, 1940 to Ann Marie and LeRoy Willis Anderson at St. Mary’s Hospital in Duluth, Minnesota. She graduated from Denfeld High School in 1958 and later made her home in the Morgan Park neighborhood, where she lived for 50 years and raised her family. Diane worked as a biochemistry lab technician with the EPA for 27 years. While building her career, she also continued her education at the University of Minnesota Duluth and the College of St. Scholastica.

Diane loved traveling with her late husband, Ralph, and together they were devoted supporters of their children and grandchildren, attending countless activities and sporting events. She is lovingly remembered for her generous spirit—always volunteering, welcoming family and friends into her home, and offering snacks (especially fruit) to her grandchildren.

Diane was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph; her brother, Jack; her daughter, Nancy; and her great-grandson, Ethan. She is survived by her sister Marcy Lyle, sister in law Angie; children, Robert (Kathy), Jon, and David (Susan); 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 1 niece, and her dear friend, Rita.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, November 28, at 1 p.m. at the Gramercy Park Cooperative.
