Uncle Cliff, you were my pen pal during those long nights up with new baby Walker this summer. You were an ear to bend when the rest of the world was asleep. I am so thankful he got to meet you and get the Eskimo kiss blessing all of us kids were so lucky to receive. You leave a void in our hearts that will never be filled. I will miss the reminders that It’s a Wonderful Life was on channel 6 at 7, the warnings about bad weather and to be safe, or receiving a funny Peanuts gif just because. I am so thankful to be able to share the holiday home movies and endless photo albums with Walker. Thankful for the stories I’ve heard so many times they feel like they are my own: sibling croquet matches, working the crops at the land, or hopping in the truck to look for cars to dig out of the ditch in a snowstorm. A beautiful and impactful life lived. We will love and remember you always. I hope there is Coca-Cola and Nesquik in all the drinking fountains up there. Love, Nikki

Cliff was just an awesome guy. I saw him on almost a daily basis for the years he worked in UMD Stores. He'd greet me with "Hey Ann-o!" in his gruff voice and we would talk about the state of the world and whatever else would come up while he was making our store look PERFECT. He paid great attention to detail; he needed things to be done correctly and well, and he offered to help wherever and whenever he could with little need for acknowledgement or praise. I miss him, his visits, our talks and I send his family all the sympathy in the world. What a journey to have gone through.

I knew Cliff from UMD. I always admired his work ethics. He always had a smile on his face and was willing to help everyone. If more people were like Cliff, the world would be a better place. Cliff and I had a nice visit in October. I am glad he let me visit him. He was such a nice man. He will be dearly missed. Rest in peace Cliff!
