Charles “Chuck” Mattson passed away after a short illness, in Duluth, MN, on October 6, 2024. He was in the hospital surrounded by loved ones.
Chuck was an excellent maintenance man for an apartment building in Chicago, but he was most proud of getting a chef certificate from the Cordon Bleu school in Chicago. Chuck loved to cook and he was great at it. Chuck spent most of his life in Chicago. He moved to Duluth two years ago to be closer to his sister, Bette.
Chuck is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Hilda Mattson, his oldest sister, Beverly Leija, and other relatives.
Chuck is survived by his sisters, Norma (Ron) Landsberger and Bette Upton. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
